In Outdoor Living
In Colorado the saying goes, "No matter the weather, wait till Mother's Day to plant!" Of course, this is because of the high possibility of a freeze happening before Mother's Day. Due to our short growing season, I have experimented with all sorts of planting techniques. Since we have clay in our soil, I have gone to raised planters in our large fenced garden area alongside our starter apple orchard (only 9 trees so far). I tried using starter plants last year versus starting them myself (indoor or out). This worked quite well and cut down on the growing time. This year, planning on bell peppers, cucumber, squash, spinach, romaine, corn, strawberries, blackberries, tomatoes, and of course my favorite...sunflowers! Tell me about your new garden ideas this year and how it relates to your intentional living plan!
